Bunnings Smart Home Modular Displays

SAPP designed, engineered and manufactured a national display programme for the Smart Home and Smart Door Lock categories at Bunnings. A shared modular architecture created consistency across the network while accommodating different brands, products and store configurations.

The programme required a display system that could scale nationally without becoming rigid. It needed to present a changing range clearly, enable efficient installation and make future product updates easier for retail teams.

SAPP developed a platform around interchangeable product mounts and flexible configurations. The project was managed from concept and industrial design through engineering and prototyping, ensuring that modularity, durability and customer usability were resolved before manufacture.

More than 16,000 Smart Home plinths and 10,000 Smart Door Lock plinths were manufactured for national rollout. SAPP’s in-house facility in China provided close control over quality, production capacity, timelines and cost throughout the programme.

The completed platform delivers a consistent customer experience across the Bunnings network. Its modular construction supports efficient installation and allows products or brands to be updated without replacing the complete display system.
