Design Innovation

Design that
holds up in
the aisle.

SAPP develops display concepts against shopper behaviour, store formats, and real production limits, so a design is commercially viable before it is signed off.

How We Do It

We develop concepts through structured design stages.

Before a concept goes forward, the brief, category context, store formats, budget envelope, and production method are agreed. This keeps creative exploration open while making sure every direction presented can actually be built and costed.

Brief and discovery
We define the objective, category, store
environment, volume, and commercial constraints.
1
Concept development
Multiple directions are explored and tested against merchandising and production realities.
2
Design refinement
The selected direction is developed for materials, structure, finish, and brand expression.
3
Brief and discovery
Approved design intent is documented &
passed to engineering with no loss of detail.
4
Why It Matters

Retail displays often fail when there is a gap between the creative idea and the manufacturing process.

Worker wearing a white hard hat and yellow safety vest holding a walkie-talkie and clipboard while standing in front of stacked shipping containers at a port or storage yard.
A concept may look strong in presentation, but if it is not engineered correctly, it can become expensive, fragile, difficult to install, inconsistent across stores, or impossible to produce at scale.
A butternut pumpkin on a grocery store scale with a screen displaying its weight as 0.935 kg and a barcode for scanning using the store's Scan&Go app, which is also shown on a smartphone held by a person.
SAPP reduces that risk by bringing design, engineering, prototyping, and manufacturing into one connected workflow. This means creative concepts are reviewed against real production methods from the beginning.

The result is a display that looks right, performs correctly, and can be manufactured repeatedly without losing design intent.
